Wow! If you ever find yourself in Middletown, definitely visit this place! I had one of the best banana pancakes ever (and I've had a lot) and the eggs over medium were cooked to perfection. Great coffee too! Thank you Rise & Shine for a lovely breakfast!

Poor service !! 45 minutes to get my sausage sandwich! Server lied and said the cook was busy with takeout. All she had to say was she or the cook forgot to make my order. Gave her the opportunity to come clean but no use. If the cook was so overwhelmed with take out orders why did she have time to take a phone call? Well I can't go back. Shame because it looked like a good breakfast spot.

I have breakfast and lunch there at least once a week. The staff is amazing, the food is fresh and delicious. The cook utilizes fresh, local fruits and vegetables.

We've always liked this little breakfast place. Since we moved from the other side of town, we've been visiting a lot more. This is a small restaurant where you seat yourself and there is often a paper or two laying around. A comfortable sort of place, where you get to know the people sitting around you.
While the standards never disappoint, we look forward to the weekend specials. My son and I love the Banana Bread French Toast. The omelets are fluffy and full of fresh ingredients. The coffee is good and refills are poured frequently. -

Had a great omelet here. Eggs very well done. Hash browns had large chunks of potato. I liked the way they prepare them. Server was very pleasant and kept my coffee cup filled. Will come back for sure.
